Evaluation

Looking back over my final ten photos I am impressed by what I have achieved. I had never done studio photography before this course and so I am pleased by my results.
My final images fit to my original brief as I have created ten images that I think would meet the standards of my target company. They are casual which responds to the images that I have seen on the Zara website, and one of my finals has an aspect how one the photos I'd seen that had  part of the lighting equipment in the image. I have used the images on the website and tried to create my own versions of them.
The photographers I looked at had previously taken photos for Zara, and so I have taken some inspiration from them on what my photos should look like. Going to the David Bailey 'Stardust' exhibition also helped to further my knowledge in the world of photography and portraiture photography.
From taking photos of the makeup students, I learnt about how lighting can effect a photo, and how important it is to use reflectors to get rid of any shadows that you might not want in your photos.
I used the macro lens to get the close up images of the jewelry which also allowed me to expanded on my knowledge of using different camera lens. Using the macro lens helped me to get good quality images that are close up which, in fashion photography, is an important task as some online shoppers might want to see the jewelry very close up before buying them.
For my final ten photos, I have a mixture of close ups and full length images which helps to give my photos a range of dynamics and yet they still make a cohesive set that fits my original brief. While I was editing my photos, I found that I was doing the same to most of them. My photos are sharp and clear, and using Lightroom has allowed me to enhance my photographs. I didn't want to make completely different edits because then the images would not meet the one of the photos of my chosen company, and so I decided to keep my edits simple, and throughout my ten finals, there are someone slight differences to each, and yet I didn't do much to edit them.
Overall, I have enjoyed this course and I'm glad I've had the chance to do some studio photography, and I am very pleased with the work that I have achieved.
